THE BATTLE OF WINWICK SOCIETY was formed in July 2022.

To create a greater awareness of the Battle of Winwick which took place on 19th August 1648. The society exists to protect, promote, preserve and enhance the area on which the Battle of Winwick took place. We wish to undertake and to promote research into the battle and to promote battlefield archaeology.

The society relies  upon its membership base to realise its aims. Membership is open to any person who has an interest in the Battle of Winwick.

We put on a series of walks, talks and events for our members.

One of our key aims is to erect a battlefield monument which would act as a focal point for visitors to the site.
